iExplorer facilitates the transfer of files from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch to your computer selectively to create backups. Whether it's music, voice memos, photos, SMS, or anything else, you can get it off your device and onto your computer without having to sync the whole thing each time. Comprehensive detection: When you connect your device to the computer, the app recognizes it right away. It quickly loads all files as well, not just certain categories, so you can manage your entire data set through this single app. Clear interface: Data detected on your device is clearly displayed in the app's interface. For instance, you can see previews of all photos, along with the date and time modified, file type, file size, and resolution. You can also export selected music tracks to iTunes or play them in the preview pane, and navigating from one file type to another is straightforward, thanks to the category list on the left-hand side of the screen. Frequent pop-ups: Almost as soon as you open the demo version of this app, you'll be greeted with a pop-up asking you to purchase the full version. These pop-ups continue to show up quite frequently as you experiment with the app, and they are so persistent that it actually makes it hard to evaluate the program. Crashing: We did encounter some crashing issues as well while we were testing this app. Each time, the app started right back up again fine, however. Bottom Line. iExplorer is a complete tool for backing up data from your iOS device to your computer. While we did have a bit of trouble with crashing during testing, the other features make it at least worth trying out. Editors' note: This is a review of the trial version of iExplorer 3.4.0.1. It does what it says it will do. 2017-05-31 20:40:19 | By Jasminenng. | Version: iExplorer 4.1.4.1. I had all my media on an external drive which died after a 4" fall onto carpet. I knew that if I connected either the nano or the touch to itunes, it wouldn't find the media would wipe the devices clean. I used iExplorer, and transferred everything from both devices to replacement external drive #2. No problems, easy to use! I can even edit minor but irritating things like spelling, genre, and delete. iExplorer allows you to retrieve media as well as add media to your Apple devices. More of an Itunes problem, in that when I put the podcasts back into the proper folders iTunes refused to recognize them as podcasts. Instead it would show the exclamation mark next to the podcast listing. Even when I steered iTunes to the proper podcast location (in the same folder), and it acknowledged them, it would now load these podcasts as music. Easy access to iPhone content Simple to transfer information. Saved my music from oblivion. 2017-02-23 03:06:22 | By prkgarcia. | Version: iExplorer 4.0.4. None! I could not even install it. All of them as I could not even install it. I had version 3.9.11 but as it does not support IOS 10.2 I decided to purchase an upgrade to the new version (4.0.4). I could not do it because the installation process says I need Framework 4.6.2 which is already installed in my Windows 10. Tried all Microsoft tools to check/repair/fix any problem and it was installed correctly. The problem is with their setup application! For days I explained this to their support and they just keep telling me to install Framework 4.6.2 and actually DON'T read any of my messages with LOG file, images of the errors, etc. Very bad service. Now I am trying to get my money back. Excellent customer service. 2016-11-01 16:55:54 | By jonmontoya11. | Version: iExplorer 3.9.11.0. I had a problem that was solved quickly and efficiently.
